Description
The American date plum 'Nikitas Gift' (Diospyros virginiana) is a very popular, deciduous container plant whose orange-coloured, flat fruits are possible with good care. Its creamy yellow flowers appear in June. The dark green leaves are egg-shaped. The location should be as sunny and sheltered as possible. A well-drained and nutrient-rich soil is ideal. Under favourable conditions, the American date plum 'Nikitas Gift' reaches a height of approx. 4 m and grows up to 2.5 m wide.
