Description
The American date plum (Diospyros virginiana) is a very popular, deciduous potted plant, whose orange-coloured fruits are possible with good care. Its decorative flowers appear in June. The location should be as sunny and sheltered as possible. A well-drained and nutrient-rich soil is ideal. Under favourable conditions, the American date plum reaches a height of approx. 12 m and grows up to 8 m wide.
