Description
The Male fern (Dryopteris filix-mas) with its feathery, dark green leaf fronds is a decorative design element in the garden. It feels most at home in a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy fern reaches a height of approx. 80 cm and grows up to 70 cm wide.
