Description
The Alpine wood fern (Dryopteris wallichiana) is a decorative design element in the garden with its glossy, feathery, medium green leaf fronds. It feels most at home in a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy fern reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows up to 80 cm wide.
