Description
The Indian strawberry (Duchesnea indica) is a runner-forming, creeping perennial that forms yellow, cup-shaped flowers from April to September. Decorative, red fruits develop from the flowers in June. Its egg-shaped, serrated leaves are dark green. In a sunny to semi-shady location, it usually reaches a height of approx. 10 cm and grows to a width of approx. 30 cm. The Indian strawberry makes no particular demands on the soil. The Indian strawberry is well tolerant of frost.
