Description
The Blue globe thistle 'Taplow Blue' (Echinops bannaticus) is an upright perennial with decorative, lanceolate, lobed, medium green leaves. It bears blue-violet, ball-shaped flowers from July to September. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, loose, sandy soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows to a width of approx. 60 cm.
