Description
The Paper bush 'Red Dragon' (Edgeworthia chrysantha) is a compact shrub that produces red and white, tubular flowers arranged in umbels with a strong fragrance. They appear from February to April. The Paper bush 'Red Dragon' also has lanceolate, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, humus-rich, weakly acidic, dry soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows to approx. 1 m wide.

Leaves
The wintergreen leaves of the Paper bush 'Red Dragon's are dark green, lanceolate, with entire margins. They are about 8 - 20 cm in size. Paper bush 'Red Dragon' is bright yellow in autumn.

Paper bush 'Red Dragon' is a compact growing shrub. It usually reaches a height of 0.7 - 1 m and is approx. 0.5 - 1 m wide.

Water
This plant has a low water requirement.

Location
Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected position.

Soil
Standard container plant soil. Normal soil.

Planting time
Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the ground is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).

Care
Over time, the soil loses some important properties. The plants should therefore be transplanted into a larger pot with fresh container plant soil every two years in spring.

Flower
The red-white, tubular flowers of Paper bush 'Red Dragon' appear in umbels from February to April. They are strongly scented.
