Description
The Oleaster 'Quicksilver' (Elaeagnus angustifolia) is an upright, overhanging, deciduous garden plant with decorative, lanceolate, silvery leaves. The white shoots are also an interesting sight. It also bears yellow flowers in May. These produce yellow fruits from August. They exude a strong fragrance. In a sunny location with well-drained, calcareous, loose soil, it usually reaches a height of around 7 metres and grows to a width of around 7 metres.
