Description
The Autumn olive 'Newgate' (Elaeagnus umbellata) is a sprawling, shrub-like garden plant with decorative, red, round fruits. These exude a strong fragrance. It produces creamy white flowers from April to May. The Autumn olive 'Newgate' also has silvery leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, dry soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres.
