Description
Large-flowered barrenwort 'Purple Pixie' (Epimedium grandiflorum) is a broad, bushy, clump-forming perennial with decorative, heart-shaped, medium-green leaves. From April to May, it bears purplish-red and white, star-shaped flowers. In a semi-shaded to shaded position with well-drained, lime-free soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 15 cm and spreads to approx. 30 cm. The Large-flowered barrenwort 'Purple Pixie' is highly frost-hardy.
