Description
The African love grass (Eragrostis curvula) is a decorative design element in the garden. The brown flower fronds adorn this grass from summer onwards. It feels most at home in a sunny to semi-shady location with soil that is as well-drained as possible. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 1.2 m and grows up to 60 cm wide.

The African love grass has good frost hardiness.
Growth
Eragrostis curvula can reach a height of 0.8 - 1.2 m and a width of 40 - 60 cm.
Water
Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.
Location
Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.
Soil
Normal soil.
Planting time
Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the ground is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
