Description
The Veitch heather (Erica x veitchii) will brighten up any garden with its countless white tubular flowers. From March onwards, it will be a delight in flower beds as well as in containers on balconies or terraces. The needle-shaped, dark green leaves are also a beautiful sight.

The evergreen leaves of the Veitch heather are dark green, needle-shaped.
Growth
Veitch heather is a bushy small shrub that can grow to a height of 1.5 - 1.8 m and a width of 80 - 90 cm.
Water
Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.
Location
Preferred location in a sunny position.
Soil
Erica x veitchii thrives on all acidic, sandy, peaty and boggy soils.
Planting time
Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
Care
A slow-release fertiliser can be used in spring. This releases the nutrients slowly and continuously so that the plant is evenly supplied over a longer period of time.
Flower
The white, tubular flowers appear from March to May.
