Description
With its medium green leaves, the Common cotton grass (Eriophorum angustifolium) is a highly decorative aquatic plant that is particularly suitable for areas such as pond edges and streams. White flowers appear from April to May. It prefers well-drained, humus-rich, lime-free, moist to wet soil in a sunny to semi-shady position. The Common cotton grass is well tolerant of frost. The upright, runner-forming plant usually reaches a height of approx. 40 cm.
