Description
The Winged spindle 'Chicago Fire' (Euonymus alatus) is a spreading, broad shrub with decorative, orange-red berries. Before these appear, it produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in clusters from May to June. The Winged spindle 'Chicago Fire' also bears oval, dark-green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shaded position with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 m and spreads to around 4.5 m.
