Description
The Spindle tree (Euonymus phellomanus) is an upright, loose shrub that produces creamy white flowers. They appear in May. These produce carmine-red fruits from September. The Spindle tree also has lanceolate, matt, green leaves. In a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained, acidic, weakly acidic soil, it usually grows to a height of around 3 metres and is around 3 metres wide.
