Description
The Rotbuche 'Midnight Feather' (Fagus sylvatica) is a columnar, tight, deciduous large shrub with decorative, egg-shaped, black-red leaves. It also bears greenish flowers from April to May. These produce brown fruits from September. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres.
