Description
The Common beech 'Pendula' (Fagus sylvatica) is an upright, overhanging, picturesque large tree that produces greenish flowers. They appear from April to May. These produce brown fruits from September. The Common beech 'Pendula' also has egg-shaped, medium green leaves. Its bark is silver-grey and smooth. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 12 metres and grows to a width of around 6 metres.
