Description
The Common beech 'Rohan Gold' (Fagus sylvatica) is an upright, broad, large tree that produces inconspicuous flowers. They appear from April to May. These produce brown fruits from September. The Common beech 'Rohan Gold' also has egg-shaped, medium green leaves with a light green colour. The golden-yellow shoots are also an interesting sight. Its bark is silver-grey and smooth. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 10 metres.
