Description
The Common beech 'Rohan Obelisk' (Fagus sylvatica) is a columnar, deciduous small tree with decorative, egg-shaped, green-red leaves. The red shoots are also an interesting sight. It also produces brown fruit from September. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and grows to a width of around 2 metres.
