Description
With its dark green leaf colouring, the Umbrella bamboo (Fargesia murielae) is a decorative design element in the garden. The special thing about it, apart from its upright form, is that it does not need a rhizome barrier! It prefers sunny to semi-shady locations with well-drained and slightly acidic soil. Under favourable conditions, this hardy bamboo reaches a height of approx. 2.5 m and grows up to 2.5 m wide.
