Description
The Umbrella bamboo 'Jumbo' (Fargesia murielae) with its light green leaf colouring and green-yellow stems is a decorative design element in the garden. What makes it special, apart from its dense and clump-forming shape, is that it does not need a rhizome barrier! It prefers semi-shady to shady, sheltered locations with well-drained, nutrient-rich and slightly acidic soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy bamboo reaches a height of approx. 3 m and grows up to 3 m wide.
