Description
The Umbrella bamboo 'Panda'® (Fargesia murielae), with its dark green foliage and red culms, is a decorative feature in the garden. What makes it special, apart from its upright habit, is that it does not require a rhizome barrier! It prefers sunny to semi-shaded positions with well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Under favourable conditions, this hardy bamboo reaches a height of approx. 3 m and spreads up to 2.5 m.
