Description
With its dark green foliage and dark red culms, the Umbrella bamboo 'Red Zebra'®(s) (Fargesia murielae) is a decorative feature in the garden. What makes it special, apart from its upright habit, is that it does not require a rhizome barrier! It prefers sunny to semi-shaded positions with well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Under favourable conditions, this hardy bamboo reaches a height of approx. 3.5 m and spreads up to 2.5 m.
