Description
With its light green leaf colouring and yellow stems, Umbrella bamboo 'Simba' (Fargesia murielae) is a decorative design element in the garden. What makes it special, apart from its upright and clump-forming shape, is that it does not need a rhizome barrier! It prefers sunny to semi-shady locations with well-drained and slightly acidic soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy bamboo reaches a height of approx. 2.5 m and grows up to 1.2 m wide.
