Description
With its dark green leaf colouring and blue-green stems, Fountain bamboo 'Great Wall' (Fargesia nitida) is a decorative design element in the garden. What makes it special, apart from its dense and clump-forming shape, is that it does not need a rhizome barrier! It prefers sunny to shady, sheltered locations with well-drained, humus-rich, loose and nutrient-rich soil. Under favourable conditions, this hardy bamboo reaches a height of approx. 4 m and grows up to 2 m wide.
