Description
With its medium green leaf colouring, Fountain bamboo 'Nymphenburg' (Fargesia nitida) is a decorative design element in the garden. The special thing about it, apart from its loose and overhanging form, is that it does not need a rhizome barrier! It prefers semi-shady to shady locations with well-drained, humus-rich, loose and nutrient-rich soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy bamboo reaches a height of approx. 3 m and grows up to 2.5 m wide.
