Description
The Bambus 'Pillar' (Fargesia nitida) with its dark green leaf colouring and red-brown stems is a decorative design element in the garden. The special thing about it, apart from its upright and dense form, is that it does not need a rhizome barrier! It prefers semi-shady to shady locations with well-drained, humus-rich, loose and nutrient-rich soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy bamboo reaches a height of approx. 3.5 m and grows up to 1 m wide.
