Description
The Umbrella bamboo 'Red Dragon' (Fargesia) with its medium green leaf colouring and red-brown stems is a decorative design element in the garden. The special thing about it, apart from its clump-forming and overhanging shape, is that it does not need a rhizome barrier! Semi-shady to shady locations with humus-rich soil are preferred. Under favourable conditions, this hardy bamboo reaches a height of approx. 4 m and grows up to 2.5 m wide.
