Fargesia rufa - 30-40 CM C2
Description
With its dark green leaf colouring, the Umbrella bamboo (Fargesia rufa) is a decorative design element in the garden. The special thing about it, apart from its clump-forming and overhanging shape, is that it does not need a rhizome barrier! It prefers sunny to semi-shady locations with well-drained and nutrient-rich soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy bamboo reaches a height of approx. 4 m and grows up to 4 m wide.
