Description
With its dark green leaf colouring and green-red stems, Bamboo 'Asian Wonder' (Fargesia scabrida) is a decorative design element in the garden. The special thing about it, apart from its upright and compact form, is that it does not need a rhizome barrier! It prefers sunny to semi-shady, sheltered locations with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy bamboo reaches a height of approx. 4 m and grows up to 1 m wide.
