Description
The Chinesischer Sonnenschirmbaum (Firmiana simplex) is a very popular, deciduous tub plant that can produce green fruit if well cared for. Its decorative flowers appear from May to July. They exude a pleasant fragrance. The dark green leaves are heart-shaped. The location should be as sunny to semi-shady and sheltered as possible. A well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich, sandy and loamy soil is ideal. Under favourable conditions, the Chinesischer Sonnenschirmbaum reaches a height of approx. 16 m and grows up to 7 m wide.
