Description
The Snake's head fritillary (Fritillaria meleagris) produces attractive, red-white flowers from April to May. It prefers humusy, moist to wet soil in a sunny to semi-shady position. The clump-forming plant usually reaches a height of 25 - 30 cm and grows up to 8 cm wide.
