Description
The Fuchsia 'Hawkshead' (fuchsia) is a very popular, deciduous container plant. Its white, semi-double flowers are bell-shaped and bloom from July to October. It should be planted in a position that is as sunny as possible, or in partial shade, and sheltered. Well-drained, humus-rich soil is ideal. Under favourable conditions, the Fuchsia 'Hawkshead' reaches a height of approx. 1 m and spreads up to 50 cm.

Care
- Withered and yellow leaves must be plucked out regularly and old branches cut out. This encourages the growth of new flowers. - Regular watering in summer is particularly important. Morning or evening is the best time for this. Watering should also be done slowly and, if possible, not over the flowers and leaves. - Many bedding and balcony plants have high to very high nutrient requirements. For this reason, slow-release fertiliser should be mixed into the potting soil when planting. After 4-6 weeks, liquid fertiliser should be added regularly.
