Description
The Hairy broom (Genista pilosa) is a dense, compact dwarf shrub that produces golden yellow flowers arranged in clusters. They appear from May to July. These produce brown legumes. The Hairy broom also has lanceolate, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with humus-rich, sandy soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 40 cm and is approx. 50 cm wide.
