With its medium green leaf colouring, Japanese forest grass 'Greenhills' (Hakonechloa macra) is a decorative design element in the garden, but with its bushy and rounded growth it also adorns containers on balconies or terraces. The green flower fronds adorn this grass from summer onwards. It feels most at home in a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 30 cm and grows up to 30 cm wide.
