Description
The Chinese witch hazel (Hamamelis mollis) is a large, upright, funnel-shaped shrub that produces yellow-red flowers with a light fragrance. They appear from January to March. Olive-green fruits emerge from these. They exude a light fragrance. The Chinese witch hazel also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with humus-rich, nutrient-rich, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of around 5 metres and grows to around 5 metres wide.
