Description
The Ozark witch hazel 'Amethyst' (Hamamelis vernalis) is a bushy, upright, broad, large shrub that produces purple-red flowers. They appear from January to March. The Ozark witch hazel 'Amethyst' also has medium green leaves. The purple shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 5 metres and grows to around 4 metres wide.
