Description
The Hebe (Hebe buxifolia) is an upright, compact dwarf shrub that produces white, blue or purple-coloured flowers. They appear from June to July. The Hebe also has roundish, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 50 cm and is approx. 70 cm wide.

A frost-free winter at 5 to 10°C is required.

Growth
Hebe is an upright and compact dwarf shrub. It usually reaches a height of 40 - 50 cm and grows to a width of approx. 50 - 70 cm.

Water
The plant has a medium water requirement.

Location
Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.

Soil
Normal soil.

Planting time
Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the ground is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).

Care
- Excess water must be able to drain away easily, waterlogging should be avoided at all costs. - Hardy, but frost-sensitive potted plants must be winterised before the first cold days. To do this, the pot can be wrapped with fleece, coconut or straw mats, jute or bubble wrap. Evergreen plants also need to be watered on frost-free winter days. - Watering less frequently, but thoroughly and thoroughly, encourages the plant roots to penetrate deeper into the soil. This helps the plant to survive periods of drought.

Flower
The white, blue and lilac-coloured flowers appear from June to July.
