Description
The Common ivy (Hedera helix) is a climbing, creeping, evergreen plant with decorative, blue fruits. It produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in umbels from September to October. The Common ivy also has leathery, heart-shaped, dark green leaves. In a semi-shady to shady location with humusy, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 30 cm and is approx. 5 m wide.
