Description
The North American ox eye 'Burning Hearts' (Heliopsis helianthoides) is a bushy, upright perennial that produces yellow-red flowers from July to October. Its egg-shaped, serrated leaves are dark green. In a sunny location with well-drained, sandy, dry soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.2 m and grows to a width of approx. 80 cm. The North American ox eye 'Burning Hearts' is well tolerant of frost.
