Description
The North American ox eye (Heliopsis helianthoides) is a bushy, upright perennial that produces yellow flowers from August to October. Its egg-shaped, serrated leaves are dark green. In a sunny location with well-drained, sandy, dry soil, it usually reaches a height of around 1.8 metres and grows to a width of around 1.6 metres. The North American ox eye is well tolerant of frost.
