Description
The Bauernhortensie 'Altona' (Hydrangea macrophylla) is a bushy, upright, compact small shrub that produces sky-blue or dusky pink, cupped flowers arranged in umbels. They appear from July to October. The Bauernhortensie 'Altona' also has egg-shaped, medium-green leaves. In a semi-shady to shady location with humus-rich, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.5 metres and grows to a width of approx. 1.2 metres.
