Description
The Common hydrangea 'Jip Blue' (Hydrangea macrophylla) is a bushy, upright small shrub that produces blue-violet, cupped flowers arranged in umbels. They appear from June to September. The Common hydrangea 'Jip Blue' also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. In a semi-shady to shady location with humus-rich, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.5 metres and grows to a width of approx. 1.5 metres.

Care
- Old inflorescences and dry wood are removed in spring. - This plant should only be watered with lime-free water. Rainwater is particularly suitable for this purpose. - Over the years, blue-flowering hydrangeas will often only produce pink flowers. To prevent this, 'Hydrangea Blue' can be used to help. It contains the aluminium responsible for the blue colouring.
