Description
The Japanese holly 'Maxima'® (Ilex crenata) is an upright, compact shrub with decorative, black fruits that stay on for a very long time. It produces creamy white flowers from May to June. The Japanese holly 'Maxima'® also has roundish, medium green leaves. The light green shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, loose, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of around 2.5 metres and grows to around 2 metres wide.
