Description
The Blue holly 'Blue Angel'® (Ilex meserveae) is a bushy, compact small shrub that produces white flowers. They appear in May. From October, these produce red fruits that last a very long time. The Blue holly 'Blue Angel'® also has shiny, lanceolate, blue-green leaves. Its bark is purple-violet in colour. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.5 metres and grows to a width of approx. 2 metres.
