Description
The Purpur-Sternanis (Illicium floridanum) is an upright, branched garden plant that produces dark pink, star-shaped flowers. They appear in May. The Purpur-Sternanis also has shiny, broadly lanceolate, dark green leaves. In a semi-shady to shady, wind-protected location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and is around 2 metres wide.
