Description
The Japanese flag 'Dinner Plate® Jell-O' (Iris ensata) is a rhizome-forming perennial that forms violet-white, disc-shaped flowers in June. Its lanceolate leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny location with humus-rich, lime-free, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and is approx. 70 cm wide. The Japanese flag 'Dinner Plate® Jell-O' is well tolerant of frost.
