Description
The Japanese flag 'Crystal Halo' (Iris ensata) is a rhizome-forming perennial that produces purple flowers from June to July. Its lanceolate leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny location with humus-rich, lime-free, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.2 m and grows to a width of approx. 50 cm. The Japanese flag 'Crystal Halo' is well tolerant of frost.
