Description
With its medium green leaves, Blue flag (Iris versicolor) is a highly decorative aquatic plant that is particularly suitable for areas such as pond edges, streams and herbaceous borders. Bicoloured flowers appear from June to July. It prefers humus-rich, lime-free soil in a sunny to semi-shady position. The Blue flag is well tolerant of frost. The upright, rhizome-forming plant usually reaches a height of approx. 80 cm.
