Description
The Black walnut 'Laciniata' (Juglans nigra) is a broad, pyramidal garden plant that produces greenish-yellow flowers. These appear from April to May. From late August onwards, these develop into brown, round nuts. Its bark is black and deeply fissured. In a sunny to semi-shaded position with well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 25 m and spreads to around 20 m.
